no twitter, but identi.ca

After the sudden death of twitters instant messaging gateway for more than 20 days now and the fact that I dont want to use some desktop application to receive micro blogging updates I switched to identi.ca. Dan Brickley (and many others) has an excelent write up of what identi.ca is and does (open, free, cool)
